Job Description: Jack Raven Bushcraft is an established and respected bushcraft provider based in Kent. We are accredited training providers for the Institute for Outdoor Learning. We are currently looking for an individual to run children’s parties on our behalf from our ancient woodland camp on the Kent Downs.
Parties generally take place on a weekend and last for 3 hours; there are a maximum of 8 children and 2 accompanying adults. The role involves meeting the children and parents and walking them to our ancient woodland camp. Upon arrival you will deliver sessions around den building and fire lighting (although other activities are sometimes requested), cook hot dogs and marshmallows and take the children and parents back to the meeting point at the end of the party.
Person Specification:
- Forest School Leader.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Current Food Safety certificate.
- DBS checked.
Any Other Information: This is an ad-hoc role with no set hours, although parties typically take place on a weekend. In 2019 we ran 20 parties and are looking a to increase this in 2020.
We will invest in the right person by training them for the Institute of Outdoor Learning Bushcraft Competency Certificate.
