Job Description: Kent Wildlife Trust is currently seeking a Forest School Tutor on a sessional/zero hours/casual contract basis to join the team.

The Job:  This post is an opportunity to work as part of Kent Wildlife Trust’s education team to deliver outstanding Forest School and Nature Tots programmes, enabling the expansion of our existing provision.

You:  You will be a qualified Level 3 Forest School leader, with experience of delivering Forest School and early years programmes and Forest School based events. You will be a team player with a desire to share your enthusiasm for the great outdoors with others, especially young people. You will have a responsible attitude, showing common sense, especially regarding working with children, and have a flexible approach and willingness to work with other staff, tutors and volunteers. You will be able to demonstrate skills and experience such as:

  • A track record of working with children on Forest School programmes and outdoor education sessions.
  • Health and Safety procedures and risk assessments, especially with regard to working with children.
  • Planning and documentation, such as lesson planning and assessments.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also independently.
