Job Description: We are looking for two Forest School assistants/level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join our Outstanding outdoor focused nursery. You will work as part of a team which provides the highest standards of care and learning to our children. We spend much of our time outdoors and have free access to woodland, meadows, pond and fields. Our Forest School Leader runs an ongoing programme of FS sessions and activities.
Our ideal candidate will be reliable and resourceful, have a flexible and can do approach to their work. You must have an effective understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and of the Welfare Requirements.
We are a small, family run setting where everyone\’s contribution is appreciated and valued. You will be able (and expected) to practice at the highest level and we have lots of opportunities for further training and education.
Person Specification: Experience of working with children 18 m -5 years essential. Candidates must hold a L3 Early Years qualification and a L2 Forest School qualification. You must hold or be willing to undertake Paediatric and or Forest School First Aid Certificate. A full driving licence or easy access to the village of Harefield.
Any Other Information: At Shepherds Hill we care for lots of small animals. You must genuinely like animals and be prepared to work with the children to look after them.
