Job description: The Paradise Co-operative is a charity based in South West London that runs community projects based outdoors on our large community garden. As part of our community engagement, we run holiday clubs and after-school clubs for local children to encourage them to get to know nature, learn about the environment and reflect about their part in our natural world.
This role would support our Forest School Leaders run the half-term club at our site in Wandsworth. You would need to be available from 12 – 16th February 2018, from 8 – 5pm.
You would: help design activities for the forest school programme Support forest school leaders in the delivery of the club – including games, cooking, crafts and storytelling Ensure the safety and safeguarding of children at all times
Person specification:
- Must have DBS clearance, or happy to apply for it.
- Experience in working with primary aged children
- Enthusiasm for outdoor learning, nature and the environment
- Interest in working outdoors and forest school ethos (no experience of forest school necessary at this point)
Any other information: Training will be provided and volunteers must be available for training day
