 Position : Forest School Leader/Assistant

Job description: Assisting for 3 hours, each Friday morning, in an ancient woodland setting in Sheffield. The group currently consists of 10 children from ages 5 up to 9 years. Main duties include helping to set up the small camp, ensuring equipment and resources are kept organised and safe, ensure children are respecting the \’Forest School Rules\’ in order to keep themselves and others safe and monitoring the children\’s whereabouts throughout the session.

Person specification : This position is open to anyone with an enthusiasm for working with children in their world! It would suit an education student (who thinks outside the box!) or anybody wanting to gain experience working in a Forest School/Outdoor setting with children. You will need to be observant and physically active so that you are able to support and ensure the safety of the children both at the Forest School site and during the walk to the site. A calm nature is always useful and any skills that you may like to share and new ideas are always welcome.

Any other information: Naturally, anyone applying for the position will need to hold a valid, full CRB check which I will need to clear before volunteering commences.
