Salary: Dependent on qualification and experience but between £24,000 – £26,000 pro rata. Salary also depends on how many weeks a year you want to work. We offer up to 42 weeks a year if you work the holiday clubs.
Location: Bristol
The role is approx 32 hours a week, Monday to Thursday (with approx 3 hours of non-contact time included) and term time only to coincide with the opening hours of our Kindergarten. Holiday work is also available.

Person specification: Our ideal candidate will be resilient, high-energy and committed to providing an outstanding early year’s education in a largely outdoor environment. They will ideally be familiar with the EYFS statutory requirements and the policies and procedures (including risk assessments) which are crucial to safeguarding children and adults in a woodland environment and nursery setting.
Job description: We are looking for a (Deputy) Forest School Leader or Forest School leader in training (you must have already started your level 3 qualification and be due to complete soon) to be a key person, lead some Forest School sessions, facilitate child led and adult led activities, help set up for the day, carry out general day to day duties and offer leadership support to our kindergarten FS leader/setting manager.
Roles Include: Support the setting manager and the team to deliver a quality early years experience in a unique setting Assist the setting manager to lead staff teams and assist in the training and development other staff members in regards to Forest school management. Liaise with parents and other agencies and act as a key worker for a group of children Assist the manager in any EYFS compliance and implementation Ensuring the smooth and efficient daily running of the setting.
