Forest Schools Kindergarten is providing opportunities for young children to play out of door, in the woods and surrounding open spaces in this area of Sheffield. We are looking for some volunteers to help support parents as well as the children as they journey through their time with us. you will help to set up the equipment each session, help to support children through your language and physical presence, there will be opportunities to work either with the parents and spend time with them to talk over their own issues and concerns and engage them in the whole experience. We have some small children with additional needs such as Aspergers and so an understanding of the emotional and physical stresses involved will be an asset to the position.
We meet at present on a Monday morning. We have two sessions, 9.30 to 11.30 and 12.00 to 2.00 Volunteering may be at either or both
Person specification : You may be fully qualified in Forest Schools, or starting your journey but will have some experience of working with children or families. You will have a passion for the outdoors and understand the benefits of outdoor play and learning.
