Job Description: Volunteer shall help with running of environmental education, nature craft & forest school sessions on charity Nature Vibezzz community projects. Practical nature conservation, environmental education and forest school sessions on our first projects will be run mainly at Streatham Common and our first project at Plumstead Common, London. In order to work with vulnerable people and children the volunteer will be asked to take a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Environmental Education / Nature Craft / Forest School sessions are run at partner sites in South London in in Streatham / West Norwood / Plumstead.

Most of the activities run are aimed at children 3 to 12 years old and we also encourage parents to come along. But some activities are run for older secondary school or college children / young adults normally with support from participating organization staff.

The volunteer role would be to support Nature Vibezzz staff running practical activities on community projects and after school clubs, currently Nature Vibezzz project activities are mainly run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays.

  • Plumstead Common project sessions will be run on run on Sundays.
  • Volunteer can help on any project session that is suitable for themselves.

Person Specification: Ideally volunteers shall live in London and have knowledge or experience of either environmental education, forest school or horticulture.

Any Other Information: Volunteers shall learn from experienced forest school and environmental education professionals regarding how to manage community projects and practical forest school / children nature sessions. Volunteers can claim London travel expenses.
