State of Nature Report, launched on May 22nd – For the first time ever all the UK’s wildlife organisations have joined to undertake a health check of our nature. The key findings are that 60% of the 3,148 UK species assessed have declined over the last 50 years and 31% declined strongly. There are some success stories in amongst this. This is a clarion call for all to look after our natural world and FS leaders have an obvious role to play. For the full report go to www.rspb.org.uk/stateofnature.
