The FSA initially launched the FSA Recognised Forest School Provider scheme back in 2017. Following an update it was relaunched in November 2019. There are now 62 recognised FSA Recognised Forest School Providers across the UK with an additional 24 pending.
This scheme is becoming the recognised industry standard with local authority outdoor education advisors signposting to it and landowners starting to make FSA Recognised Forest School Provider status a condition for entering into land agreements.
The general public are increasingly looking for Forest School provision that is recognised by the professional body.
