Funding NETA
Want to know more about NETA and how we are hoping to fund it?
Why are we building NETA?
Whilst practitioners know the value of collecting evidence and feedback it is a challenge for many because of the cost in both time and money. NETA is designed to offset these costs, by sending surveys automatically and scoring and presenting the results immediately within the app. This supports our communities need to advocate for their delivery and shows the value of the sessions in real time.
Forest School and outdoor education is notoriously difficult to assess as diffferent ethos, settings and even different individual practice means often the data collected is small scale, low population data, sadly this data is easily ignored by policy makers who often require statistics to analyse trends across broad populations. NETA can help us advocate with a strong voice, using the mass participation research to analyse trends and hopefully will support the findings of initiatives like the Nature Premium Campaign.
What do we need?
To put it simply we need funding. We are hoping to get a KTP fund to partnerone with a prestigous University to help us to check our survey, our system and build a second iteration of NETA that has a great user experience. In order to access this fund we must raise around £55 – 60,000 in match funding and project coordination fees. This money would cover a % of the cost of the development of NETA 2.0.
How can you help?
You can help in an number of ways.
- Help us test the prototype and give us some feedback
- Make a donation to the FSA
- Support or sponsor the development of NETA
How did we fund the prototype?
We had a project fund from the Ashden Trust to help us pull the prototype together, this fund was largely used to build a proof of concept model and this has been rather successful and brought us the prototype we are testing at the moment.
