The International Forum for Kindergarten Principals’ Professional Development hosted the Nursery World China Awards in Beijing in January of this year.
FSA CEO, Gareth Davies, presented the Forest School ethos to the 600 delegates (kindergarten leaders from all over China). Nature education is developing rapidly in China and now has specific government support. There was considerable interest shown in the Forest School approach and the work of the FSA.
In October 2018 the FSA entered into a collaboration agreement with a Chinese company to take the FSA function to China and to support the development of Forest School in that territory. FSA China is in the process of establishing a demonstration site for Forest School near Shanghai, which we hope will become a Forest School training centre in the future.
