Event description: Calling all Practitioners who support outdoor learning and play across the educational curriculum. This conference explores the importance of the outdoor experiential environment and provides an opportunity to meet practitioners from across three counties.
Keynote Speaker: Mark Sackville Ford – Critical Issues in Forest School
Mark is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. In his newly published book (July 2019) Mark explores alternative approaches to education and is passionate about supporting young people who find the current education system challenging.
A choice of three workshops
- Tim Kaye – Teaching Trees. Identification and using trees as a natural learning resource.
- Carol Graham – Storytelling, movement meditation.
- Zoe Disley – Willow Weaving
- Emma Beynon – Creative language and using the outdoors for literacy.
Tickets: £45 to include lunch and tea & coffee throughout the day and Trade Stands
