We would like to offer our hearty congratulations to FSA Kent & Medway member Caroline Watts who has gained Ofsted registration for her fully outdoor kindergarten in National Trust woodland near Sevenoaks in Kent. She has had quite a journey in getting Ofsted approval β however she is now registered! No buildings at all β just a bell tent. This is fantastic news and encouragement for anyone aspiring to develop fully outdoor Forest School settings, particularly kindergartens.

Congrats from battle East Sussex. Hopefully I can drop in and help some time.
Fantastic work Caroline! Saw the short piece on BBC South East and saw you in action and thought how fabulous it all was! Well done for sticking with it – the wait and obvious onerous amounts of paperwork (and fights with registering) were clearly worth it – good luck for the new venture.
Superb work Caroline. Remember if you ever need any help I’m just up the road from Wrotham.
Gives inspiration to those who know they wont to get out they but feel there is too much red tape! right off to look at bell tents!!!!!!!
Thank you! If any other forest school practitioners are thinking of setting up something similar, I would be happy to answer questions and share ideas. Email – [email protected]
Fabulous!
Wahoo Caroline that is brilliant. π
It is fantastic news for the FS community as a whole. Well done Caroline – you`ll be an inspiration to many!
There’s hope yet π
