I so agree with this, there has been much research over the years that show that a later start time for school is beneficial for children. Most European countries start their children in school much later than we do, and they certainly dont suffer for it!
One of the many reasons for the growth for Home education in this country is due to the early age that the government expects children to start school. Especially for boys!
We should be looking at children being allowed to be children and playing and being with their close family.
