Mentors: Forest School Trainer Quality Assurance Scheme

This page is for applicants to the Trainer’s Quality Assurance Scheme who wish to work with an experienced FSA Endorsed Forest School Trainer. We can link you with a mentor. All mentors are Forest School Trainers who have already completed all three stages of the scheme and have become Endorsed Trainers themselves. Mentors will be experienced trainers who have a good understanding of the scheme process. Mentors can support you in a variety of ways, for example:

– during Stage 1 if you are a new trainer getting policies and procedures in place and considering course structure
– with areas highlighted during Stage 1 as requiring further evidence
– with matters that assessors have raised during Stages 2 and 3

If you wish to work with a mentor you will need to make contact with someone from the following list directly. You and the mentor you choose to engage with will need to discuss the areas you feel you need support with. If the mentor feels they can support you please discuss costs associated with this support directly with them before any support is given. NB the FSA do not set any appropriate rates for this mentoring support, instead this will be discussed between mentor and applicant on a case by case basis.
